This kinda reminds me of the story of the flood & the dude saying God's gonna save me. Several boats come by and he's like nah, God will save me. He has to eventually get to the roof and a helicopter comes by and he says I'm not getting in, God will save me.
He gets to Heaven and is like God, why didn't you save me? And God says, who do you think sent all the boats??
I know it's just a story but this kinda feels like that. Like no, God's gonna being me joy, I'm finding my joy in God. And He's like, who do you think made those pretty flowers, and caused them to spring up along your path?
This is literally so timely. This morning I was reading Isaiah 35:1-2 and reflecting on the quote "may flowers grow in the saddest parts of you" and wondering how I could experience that. Thank you for posting this my friend 🫶🏻
Whoa, I love that!! I’ll get there in my Bible reading plan in two days so I’ll keep an eye out for it. I feel like that would make a beautiful illustration! Now I want to collect a bunch of flower themed verses haha 🫶🏼
Sigue escribiendo...
Wow, thank you so much for this comment and your encouragement 💙 I remember it being so freeing when God revealed that what I was struggling with was OCD, not just anxiety. It can also be a challenging time first learning about it all though! There is absolutely hope—I would encourage you to check out my “Ultimate Guide for Christians with OCD” post if you’re looking for more professional resources to help you in your recovery. May God bless your journey!
This is so beautiful. I can't tell you how many times I've seen a beautiful bouquet in the grocery store and refrained from purchasing it because, "it will die anyway". I also have OCD but didn't even consider it to be a possible part of my thinking with regard to the flowers. But I see it now. I think I'll go buy those flowers today. ❤️
